The House We Built is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers young men through mentorship and leadership development to provide educational and college opportunities. We use basketball as a vehicle to inspire growth, remove barriers to opportunities, and prepare youth for success in higher education, their careers, and their communities.
Holistic Development
We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. At The House We Built, basketball is more than a game; it's a vehicle for mentorship, leadership development, and personal growth. Through positive relationships, academic guidance, and high-level coaching, we help young men develop the confidence, discipline, resilience, and character to succeed in school, college, their careers, and their communities. Basketball is our platform, but empowering future leaders is our purpose.
College Access and Opportunities
We believe higher education can transform lives. Through basketball, The House We Built connects student-athletes with colleges and universities that align with their academic, personal, and athletic goals. Beyond recruiting, we guide families through every stage of the college process: from identifying the right institutional fit and communicating with college coaches to navigating admissions, financial aid, scholarships, and enrollment. By leveraging our extensive network of college coaches, educators, and alumni, we help young men access educational opportunities that create lifelong pathways to success.
Alumni List
Our alumni are a huge part of foundation of The House We Built and the greatest measure of our impact. Every player and coach has helped shape a culture rooted in mentorship, excellence, and service to others. Even after their playing careers end, many of our alumni remain actively involved as mentors, role models, and supporters, sharing their experiences with the next generation of student-athletes. Together, they have created a lifelong community that continues to open doors, strengthen relationships, and inspire young men to succeed in college, their careers, and their communities. The true measure of our program isn’t where or what level our players go; it’s who they become and how they pay it forward to help others.
